Wie is Grafi-Call Computers Leiden?

Grafi-Call Computers Nederland bestaat al sinds 1980 en is al die tijd gevestigd in Leiden, Zuid-Holland.
Voorheen waren wij voornamelijk aktief in de grafische wereld (vandaar de naam Grafi-Call) waar we fotozetmachines, hoog resolutie scanners, printers, monitoren en computers verkochten.
Sinds 1990 zijn wij naast reparatie ons volledig op de desktop computers, notebooks, horloge batterijen en desktop computer onderdelen markt gaan richten met levering aan consumenten, bedrijven en overheidsinstellingen. Graficall is ook terug te vinden onder de naam PCpro/PCpro computers.

Moederborden zijn oa. geclassificeerd op het type socket dat ze ondersteunen, in dit geval Socket AM2. Het Socket AM2 platform ondersteund AMD Athlon64 processoren die voor Socket AM2 geschikt zijn.Verder is het Moederbord het centrale onderdeel in een Computer. Zo'n beetje alles wat er maar aangesloten moet worden, wordt aangesloten op het moederbord. Harde schijf, floppydrive, geheugen, processor, videokaart etc. komen bijeen op het moederbord. Een moederbord is dan ook vaak het grootste component in een PC. Net als CPU's worden moederborden geclassificeerd op het socket type. Echter, bij een moederbord speelt er nog een ander component (op het Moederbord) een belangrijke rol en dat is de chipset. Een moederbord wordt opgebouwd rond deze Chipset ten behoeve van een bepaald type CPU. Chipsets worden niet door de Moederbordfabrikanten zelf gemaakt maar door anderen. Enkele bekenden zijn Nvidia (Nforce chipsets), VIA, Ati, Intel (tevens CPU en Moederbordfabrikant) en AMD (ook een CPU fabrikant maar maakt zelf geen moederborden in tegenstelling tot bv. Intel). De gebruikte Chipset is alles bepalend voor de performance en mogelijkheden van het moederbord. Bij een Moederbord moet op het formaat gelet worden voor wat betreft de inbouw in een PC behuizing. Enkele gangbare maten (afmetingen) zijn ATX, Mini-ATX, BTX en Micro-ATX. Let bij de aanschaf van een moederbord hierop, een ATX moederbord zal bv. niet passen in een BTX behuizing of een ATX niet in een Mini/Micro-ATX kast. Ook uitbreidingskaarten kunnen qua hoogte specifiek voor een bepaalde maat gemaakt zijn.
